The mission of the Jacksonville University School of 航空 is to produce professional aviators and aviation managers possessing the leadership and professional skills necessary to sustain safety and profitability in global aviation. The School of 航空​ achieves this mission with a world-class curriculum that sufficiently equips students to thrive professionally and financially as global aviation evolves.

Our vision is to be the world leader in innovative collegiate aviation programs producing graduates who increase the safety and profitability of global aviation.

  1. Professional Competency: 研究生s will possess the requisite knowledge and skills necessary to make an immediate positive impact for their employer as well as act with the highest standards of professionalism evidenced by their ethical character and integrity.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: 研究生s will be able to assess the role and impact of regulatory compliance in the conduct of global aviation commerce.

Admission Requirements

The process by which the university publishes standards for the selection and admission of students which are related to the educational mission and purposes of the institution is set forth by the 招生 office and listed in the current Catalog.

Admission to Jacksonville University is competitive. JU seeks students from a variety of backgrounds with strong academic preparation who can contribute to and benefit from the University's many academic and co-curricular programs.

Our 项目评估 Plan encompasses not only the assessment of program educational goals and student learning outcomes but also goals related to all functional areas of the program including: students, curriculum, faculty and staff, facilities and resources, institutional support, safety, and relations with industry.

Examples of Recent Outcomes and Actions Taken

  • Outcome: The JU Flight 团队 won the 2008 Loening Trophy given to the team representing the top collegiate aviation program in the USA at National NIFA SAFECON
  • Action: Secured funding from funding from the University for support of the JU Flight 团队
  • Outcome: The JU Woman Air Race 团队 Placed 1st in the nation in the 2011 Air Race 经典
  • Action: Secured Donor funding to continue to participate in the Air Race 经典.
  • Outcome: Direct hiring agreements with the airlines
  • Action: Signed agreements to become part of the JetBlue University Gateway Program and Delta Air Lines “PROPEL” program. Students also participate in Republic Airways Cadet program and numerous other regional carriers pathway programs.
